Showing the old and new from the same point of view

No school content strategy can be complete without some mention of ‘how we got here.’ Specifically, this strategy appeals to alumni and long-time staff members. It creates a forum for memories from social media followers. It also shows a level of respect and reverence for the past with a nod toward progress.

With today’s trend toward video content, it would be a fun, creative way to reveal the historical connections on campus. Imagine the camera showing an old still photo, a slow zoom out to reveal part of the newer building behind the photo, and finally the photo itself is pulled out of view.

Or imagine two simple photos dissolving back and forth as contrasted scenes.

And now I wonder this … how do we stitch together photos new and old to make a 360-degree view, or panoramic photo?

A content strategy that includes historical aspect to a school or campus is bound to help you reach your alumni base.
